We all remember this scene from season 2, episode 2 of Schitt's Creek on Netflix. Mother being the iconic Moira Rose (Catherine O' Hara), a former TV Soap Opera actor, giving her company in the kitchen is her flustered, fashion enthusiast son David Rose (Dan Levy). In one of the episodes when they realise that they’d have to learn to cook to avoid further debts, what ensues is a hilarious bonding episode between a mother and a son trying their best in the kitchen. The coming-of-age drama tracing a journey of an affluent family who had to reside in a motel of an unheard-of town and start afresh struck a chord with millions. And she utters the beautiful line, "Did you put Kristen with Robin? They don't like each other," which leads us to believe that, yes, all her wigs have names.Fans of Schitt’s Creek, raise your hands! The Canadian sitcom that wrapped up last year, went on to bag many coveted honours including its big win at the 72nd Primetime Emmy’s, where the show became the first ever comedy or drama series to take home the trophies for four acting categories. In the pilot, viewers get their first look at Moira's collection of wigs. Season 1, episode 1: "Our Cup Runneth Over" I am 99% sure this is every wig, but if I missed one, please let me know. I scrolled through all 66 episodes of the show using Netflix's scrubber preview bar, and took a screenshot of every Moira wig (and a select few wig-like hats) that I saw. There have been a lot of "Best Wig" roundups over the years, but what the world really needed was someone to create a comprehensive list of every single wig that Moira's worn on Schitt's Creek so far. But as the show progresses, we get to delight in dozens of wigged Moira alter-egos. In the pilot episode, we get a look at Moira's natural hair (shown below), which she sports frequently throughout the series. Ana Sorys, the hairstylist behind the Schitt's Creek wig-gallery, revealed that Moira has more than 100 different hairpieces for the show. As a character-revealing habit, it totally worked. In an interview with Variety, O'Hara, who'd been inspired by two friends who changed wigs frequently, said that she was the one who first asked if Moira could wear wigs whenever she felt like. She coordinates outfits around them, matches them to her moods, and has made the hairpieces an important part of her eccentric personality. The theatrical, stylish, and tremendously layered character of Moira Rose (played by the legendary Catherine O'Hara) lives for wigs. Schitt's Creek is unlike any other show on television for so many reasons, the most visually apparent of which may be Moira Rose's iconic, statement-making wigs.
